Dedication of Joyce Imel Way

On May 24, 2011 The City of Madison hosted Student Government Day. Those students that participated were: Qj Sheng, Emily Fox, John Culbreth, Brent Kasper, Kacie Rowlett, Jacob Hicks, Natalie Moore, Katie Thevenow, Haley Hadley, Shelby Holloway, Ian McGarry, Aaron Hardin, Katie Hall, Kelsey Pietrykowski, Amber Holiday, Luc Jenkins, Daniel Fisher & Bryan Bronchik. These students creaded a Resolution No. 11-2011. This resolution renamed Seminary Street between Orchard Street and Brown Street to "Joyce Imel Way".

Mrs. Imel is retiring at the end of the current school year after a career in education that spanned almost 43 years. Her current position is principal at E.O. Muncie school.

Dedication of Dianna Risk Way

The High School students who participated in Student Government Day on May 24, 2011, drew up a resolution renaming Seventh Street between Cragmont and the High School as Dianna Risk Way.


Mrs. Risk was a long-time teacher and Guidance Counselor for Madison Consolidated School District until she passed away on November 29, 2007 from cancer.
